The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) has today published two reports based on its recent consultation on the five draft specifications for the redeveloped primary curriculum.

The first report, Report on the Consultation on the Draft Primary Curriculum Specifications, provides insights from educators, parents, and stakeholders who participated in the consultation process. It highlights key feedback and recommendations that will inform the final curriculum design.

The second report, Report on the Consultation with Children on the Draft Primary Curriculum Specifications, captures the perspectives of children, ensuring their voices contribute to the shaping of their learning experiences.

Both reports are available on the NCCA website and can be accessed via the following links:

In addition to these reports, this week marks the publication of the updated Aistear: The Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. The revised framework, available on curriculumonline.ie, reflects the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, supporting children’s learning and development from birth to six years.
