How to become a member
  1. If you are new please click the "Sign Up" button, complete all the fields and make a secure payment to activate your membership.
  2. If you have a membership account you can login to check your status or renew.
  3. All Memberships expire in September. No pro-rata rate on signup.
  4. Our preferred payment method is online.

Our annual conference will take place on 13th and 14th October 2026 in the Hodson Bay Hotel.
We take this opportunity to thank Eileen O’Rourke for her work as General Secretary, NABMSE since November 2021 and wish her success with the next steps of her professional journey.

NABMSE - Annual School Membership

Our Membership term runs from the 1st September to the 31st August. The cost is €100 per school. When a school registers, staff who are employed in that school can avail of free NABMSE workshops throughout the year.

Our Membership Benefits

  • We unite, support and advocate for our members.
  • We offer support to new special school principals, and to schools opening new special classes.
  • We consult and survey our members on key matters and use this information to strengthen our voice with the Department of Education and other statutory bodies.
  • We provide comprehensive data protection advice and training for our members.
  • We advise, guide and support our members on any matters of concern to them.
  • We organise support seminars/training for our members based on their current needs.
  • We update our members on new circulars/procedures relating to special education.
