‘Bricks and mortar are important but so are resources' - Principal Kerry Special School says more is needed
31 January 2025
The fight for services for children with special needs never ends and Principal Keith Ó Broachlain says they will continue to advocate for their students and their families. It is what makes the school extra special in both name and attitude.
High on this wish-list is the the re-introduction of therapies for special schools and in particular St Francis Special School.
The first phase of a pilot programme for enhanced in-school therapy supports for special school, which will see therapists on-site during school hours, has already rolled out nationally and the Kerry school is pleading to be included on this.
